Bio

Artistic vision

My work is born from the observation of nature and the human condition. I watch the displacement of the clouds, the shapes in the bark of the tree, the constant collision of the water on the rock ... I put my attention on perceiving their movement, their constant transformation.

I am interested in the way an individual constructs his identity in the world, the way he relates to others and creates mental and social structures. I am interested in examining the mind, noting how the behavior of society is the reflection of our individual mind.

I perceive how duality dances, the human being is nature, affected by its cycles and in turn facing it, trying to dominate it. From listening to my individual being as a reflection of the world, I place myself in the rehearsal place and that is where my scenic work is born, the moment I begin to think through the body in motion. Let's say I use stage language, the language of a body in a space, as a way of trying to understand life and the workings of the human mind.

The Keys of the scenic language in my work

In the scene we create with the plasticity of the image, the action of the body and the work with the object. From the audiovisual we explore the plastic language of matter and light. With this language we give simultaneity to the action or concept that takes place in the scenic space, creating a parallel universe.

On stage I cultivate a performative language, in which the body is a body that performs an action. A body that does. I am interested in working on the real energy of the physical body. We use the object as a symbol. In the development of the scenic action, the objects linked to the action create a permanent metaphor. Creating on stage a new reality in which each object is no longer what it is but what it represents. I apply the metaphor in these three planes: the image, the action of the body and the object. In turn, these three planes interact with each other creating new realities.

Trajectory

I was born and I have trained artistically in Madrid. I have a degree in gestural theater from Resad and I have trained in contemporary dance. The 90s were years of training and exploration in Madrid, sharing with creators who were inquiring into the scenic language. Finding teachers like Rodrigo García, Amalia Fernández and Wendell Wells.

In 2006 I decided to go live in Ibiza where I started working under the stage name El Milagro de la Niña, in a sort of personal resurrection. In Ibiza, the company supports itself by creating small-format children's shows and explores by creating performances at various events. These are years in which I put my scenic tools at the service of the public and I harden acting in theaters, squares, schools. I also develop educational projects, aimed at children, adolescents and adults, in which I provide dance-theater tools.

In 2013 I start working on A thread, a solo in which I work with the idea of female identity, linked to the passage of time. This scenic work arises from the need to delve into the abyss of original exploration, it arises from the artist's need to create, express, transform. Without conditions, without thinking who is going to buy it for you. In April 2015 I can premiere it in Madrid within the SURGE MADRID exhibition. Then he has been able to walk more, I have offered it in Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca within the FiraB.

In 2015 premiere Indreams in Ibiza, a multidisciplinary creation for a family audience that fuses dance, theater, audiovisual creation and original music by David Devanagari. After many years working with children in Ibiza, I create this work with the desire to introduce them to the abstract language of dance, plastic arts and poetry. I have offered this creation in Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca. Also in the Basque Country, with performances in Durango and Pamplona.

In 2016 we presented Paradise zero, a creation that investigates the struggle that the animal and consciousness sustain in each one of us. "Paradise Zero" is an original creation that explores the scenic language. A hybrid of actions, dance, word and video. It is a work that  we have been able to offer in theaters in Ibiza.

In 2019, we created The meaning of the word love, a multidisciplinary piece that combines dance, theater, objects and music, in a work that places the public in an active role, creating images and emotions that the spectator completes. A scenic exploration of the couple's relationship. We were able to present it at the Art Projects Gallery in Ibiza.

In 2020, we created The (un)sustainable couple, we perform the physical action of supporting the other's body until exhaustion. We offer it at the Territori Performance Festival (Ibiza). Then we have followed working on it giving it the form of a theater dance piece that we have offered at festivals in the Balearic Islands.

In 2021, I offer the performance "A house in the el sea" at the Territori International Performance Festival (Ibiza) as part of the creation process of the work The end of things, which in 2022 receives subvention creation of the Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics.

We offer it in 2023 at the Centro Cultural de Jesús (Ibiza) and at the Teatro Principal de Inca (Mallorca) within the festival days of dance, also in Ciclop, festival of visual theater of Sineu and in the FiraB!
